We are a film production team in Vienna with more than 30 years of experience. We produce TV spots, online and social spots, image films, product videos and music videos. You can hand us the whole job or only the parts you need: concept, shoot, post-production and delivery in every format the media plan asks for.
We develop the idea with you or work from the agency’s script: treatment, storyboard and, where it helps, an AI mood film or preview before the first shoot day.
Commercials
TV and online spots with every cut-down the campaign needs. For the Wiener Riesenrad we shot six 10-second films in one gondola and delivered them in five aspect ratios, up to 64:9 for the wide screens at Vienna Airport.
Campaigns with talent
For Rexona and the agency Since Today we shot national team player Nicolas Seiwald on a green-screen day. The Austrian TV spot and four months of social content came out of the same shoot.
Image films
Films that show what a company does and who does the work, for the website, recruiting, trade fairs or events. We find the story on location and in conversation with the people involved.
Product videos
The product in use, packshots and details. Where something is easier to show in 3D, our studio dynam!c adds animation to the live action.
Camera and crew
Crew and equipment are put together for each project. Motion control with the MRMC Bolt, virtual production and the U-Crane are available when a shot needs them.
Music videos
Our team has its roots in music, and music videos have stayed part of our work alongside the commercial jobs.
Post-production
Editing, colour grading, sound design and music, in-house or with long-standing partners and coordinated by our post-production supervisor. You get final masters in every format the media plan needs.

Do you work with agencies and support pitches?
Yes, agency partnerships are a large part of our work. We coordinate closely with the agency from the first idea to delivery and support pitches with mood films, mood frames and early calculations, so that concept, execution and budget hold up in front of the client.
What equipment and crew do you work with?
We work with experienced film crews and current camera, lighting and grip equipment. Special setups such as motion control with the MRMC Bolt, virtual production and the U-Crane are available for shoots that need them. Crew and gear are put together for each project, in Austria or with our partners abroad.
Do you handle post-production?
Yes. Editing, colour grading, sound design, music, CGI and VFX are done in-house or with long-standing partners, coordinated by our post-production supervisor. You get one contact for the whole post-production and final masters in the formats and aspect ratios your media plan needs.
How do we start a project with you?
Send us a short brief via the contact form or to office@dockyard.at: what the film should achieve, target audience, channels and formats, timing and, if you already have one, a budget frame. We come back with questions or a first concept and a cost estimate that shows shoot days, crew, locations and post-production.
What does a commercial or image film cost?
That depends on concept, number of shoot days, crew size, locations, cast, animation and post-production, and on the usage rights you need. Because we produce from Austria, our rates are below those of London, Paris or Berlin. After your brief you get a detailed cost estimate so you can see where the budget goes.
How does a production run, and how many feedback rounds are included?
Every production has three phases: pre-production (concept, script, casting, locations, schedule), the shoot or animation, and post-production (editing, grading, sound, delivery). You approve each step. Unless agreed otherwise, two revision rounds per post-production step are included, as set out in our terms and conditions.
