Design and animation at dockyard is the work of dynam!c, our studio in Vienna, led by Marcos Medvedov with art director Andreina Díaz Beltrán. dynam!c makes its own films and works inside our live-action productions: motion graphics, explainer videos, 3D and CGI, VFX and compositing, illustration and brand design.

Services

Animation can carry a film on its own or sit inside live action, for example as a product visualisation or packshot in a commercial.

2D animation and motion graphics

Explainer videos, motion graphics for campaigns and animations for social media, from the first style frame to the final cut.

3D, CGI and VFX

Product visualisations, 3D characters, CGI environments, compositing and clean-up. Often combined with live action, for the shot a camera cannot get.

Stop motion and frame by frame

Animation made by hand, shot or drawn frame by frame, on its own or mixed with real footage.

Illustration

Characters, scenes and key visuals for films and campaigns, drawn in a style that fits the brand.

Brand design

Logos and corporate design for companies and products, and the animated versions of them: logo animations, idents and lower thirds.

AI in animation

We use AI for mood films, previews and parts of the animation where the result holds up. For AI film production, our sister brand VAIN takes over.

Frequently asked questions

Do you also do animation and VFX?

Yes. Our design and animation team dynam!c produces 2D animation and motion graphics, explainer videos, 3D animation, CGI and VFX, stop motion, illustration and brand design. Animation can stand on its own or be combined with live action, for example for product visualisations or packshots in a commercial.

Do you handle post-production?

Yes. Editing, colour grading, sound design, music, CGI and VFX are done in-house or with long-standing partners, coordinated by our post-production supervisor. You get one contact for the whole post-production and final masters in the formats and aspect ratios your media plan needs.

Do you use AI in your productions?

Yes, where it helps the project: for AI mood films, previews and animation, and in post-production. We use AI as a tool alongside human creative work and handle it responsibly, including the question of rights to generated content. Whether and how AI is used is agreed with you for each production. AI film production is the work of our sister brand VAIN.

How do we start a project with you?

Send us a short brief via the contact form or to office@dockyard.at: what the film should achieve, target audience, channels and formats, timing and, if you already have one, a budget frame. We come back with questions or a first concept and a cost estimate that shows shoot days, crew, locations and post-production.
